What are the minimum specifications for Personal Tax Manager?

Taxshield Personal Tax Manager PC/Server Specifications
Minimum PC Specification is as follows:
The minimum CPU speed should be 1500Mhz or above, the minimum RAM should be 512MB,the recommendation RAM should be 1GB.
A minimum of 1GB of Hard Disk free space is required.
Network speed should be minimum of CAT5 cabling at 100 Mbps.

The programme utilities. Net framework 2.0. This supports the following operating systems:
Windows 2000 with SP4, 2003 with SP1, 2008, XP with SP2, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate and Enterprise Edition.
When I am ready to generate the tax computation, I notice a warning sign saying, “W099 this calculation may not give the full amount of deficiency relief due.” Is this a problem?

How do I file by internet?

Before you can start filing by internet, it’s necessary to register with the Inland Revenue. They will give you a password and login details.
How can I tell which version of Taxshield software I am running?

While you are running the Personal Tax Manager Professional programme, click the “Help” tab in the top left-hand corner. Then click the “General” tab to
show which version is currently in use.
Is the software approved by the Inland Revenue?

Yes – all Taxshield software is approved by the Inland Revenue.
I have a network version of Taxshield, which I have installed, but I cannot see the data. Why is this?

Check that the software has been installed into the same location (that is, drive and folder) on your computer as any previous Taxshield installations.
I have installed a new version of Taxshield onto my PC, but I can no longer access my records. Have I lost the data, and what should I do?

How do I increase the number of Taxshield licences I have?

How do I receive updates of Taxshield issued throughout the year?

Any Taxshield software updates throughout the year will be dispatched to you, as a client, automatically.
I want to file my tax return online (called filing-by-internet or FBI) but the system won't let me.

Firstly, in the Taxshield opening screen, select “Configuration”, then “Agent”, and then check that the “Log on” and “Password”
details have been completed. Secondly, from the main list of clients, select 'Edit Client' and tick the box to 'File by Internet'. You must do this for each individual and partnership
tax-return client set up on your system.
I have set up a client on my system who previously did not have a UTR reference. I can't enter the tax reference because the boxes are greyed out. Help!

To enter a tax reference, you must access 'Edit Client' from the main list of clients. Untick the 'UTR not known' box (if ticked), and then enter the information as required.
I am unable to get the CGT calculation to appear on my Data summary. Is it something to do with taper relief?

If there are no complete years to report to this gain, then the taper relief entry must be 100 per cent. The percentage recorded in the “Gains” summary under
“Taper relief” relates to the percentage of the gain that is chargeable to capital gains tax - before the annual exemption.
